Interesting link under "RIP" (did you intend that?)...about the BLM rounding up horses and having Wyoming sell them to a Canadian slaughter house for about 5 cents per pound. My last horse cost me about $27.00 per pound alive. I buried him where he lay when he died. Even dead he was worth more to me and his best buddy, a 13 year old boy, who learned to ride on him, than 5 cents per pound.
I hate horse slaughterhouse buyers ...they don't raise their own "livestock" they buy stolen stock for pennies on the dollar, buy failed race horses from assholes who race them too young, or have BLM source for them. Welcome to better land management by big government.

I have a soft spot for Rubin Carter (who got screwed over by Paterson, NJ cops) and Mustangs and wild horses (who get screwed over by the BLM).
